Autumn/Winter is Almost Here

 

 

Hey Guys,

 

Autumn and Winter are defiantly my  favourite seasons.  I have an unhealthy obsession with buying coats and boots (I guess its just my thing).  I generally love winter clothes.  Whats not to love, with layering and cosy knits.  I love sitting in with my boyfriend watching TV on the sofa while its cold outside.  The thought of it excites me.

 

I will be happily putting my sandals away and bringing out the boots.

 

I don't think I have achieved alot over summer and want that to change in Autumn / Winter. 

 

• Find a house: Currently house hunting.  I aim to have bought one by Christmas.  This is exciting but it is eating away to my money.
 
• Find new and exciting ways to cut back on my spending without cutting back on the amount I buy.  This is going to mean trying lots of new products to try and find alternatives for high end makeup and clothing. 
 
• Review Review Review.  I am going to try products and give honest opinions on the quality and price.
 
• Brush up on my photography.  To be honest my photography skills are not good and I have no excuse as my boyfriend is a photographer.  I think it will mean ditching my ancient digital camera in exchange for something decent. 
 
• Write a blog post every day.  As I have just started my blog I feel I have so much I want to blog about.  Beauty, fashion and a bit about my life.
 
• Have some more me time.  Over the summer I have neglected myself more than usual.  I am going to spend more time doing things I love with the people I love.
 
• Read.  I do read all year round but I have decided I am going to aim to read every night before bed.  I will of course be letting you know what I'm reading and if it was any good.
 
• Learn to cook.  I am no Jamie Oliver thats for sure.  I am going to start off with the basics and then work my way up.  I think my boyfriend is going to be very pleased with this one.

This Weeks Wish List

This week I have been looking at my makeup and deciding I need to update a few things.

 

I have heard amazing reviews about the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser from Sprinkle of Glitter and really want to try it for myself.  She also did a fab video on youtube of you to use it.  You should check it out.

 

These chubby sticks look amazing.  I want to see if they actually live up to all the hype.

 

I love this OPI nail polish.  The little tiny bits of glitter look amazing.  I think this will have to be one if my Autumn/Winter buys.

 

Loving NARS makeup at the minute and this baby pink blusher is perfect for my pale (yes even in summer) skin.  Embrace the paleness I think.

Smart Jewellery Storage

 

Storage Boxes - ebay £1.45 (free delivery)

 

This has been the best storage buy I have ever bought.  Altogether I purchased 4 of these for jewellery.

 

I was having endless problems with jewllery getting lost or getting so tangled it was beyong saving. 

 

These boxes have literally been the end to all my jewellery disasters.  They aren't bulky like alot of jewellery boxes and can be stacked or put away in a drawer.

 

Visit this ebay seller here.  At such a cheap price it would be silly not to.

In Love with Leather

One of my favourite winter fabrics is leather and was estatic when I found out it was going to be so big this season.

 

Black leather is my favourite as it can be dressed up or dressed down rather easily and is so versitile. 

 

Leather has the look of being so effortlessly cool and very few accessories is ever needed.

 

Autumn / Winter are my favourite fashion months.  This year I will be stocking up with leather for day and night looks and wearing it with simple jeans, t-shirts and shoes.  Making leather a key piece for my wardrobe and pairing it with simple items from last year.

 

Although leather shorts look stunning I am not sure I am brave enough to show quite that much leg for winter (I am extreamly jealous of anyone who has perfect pins to make these look fab)

Happy Hands

 

Body Shop Hand Cleanse Gel - £2.50

 

I am quite new to using Body Shop products and so far I have been impressed and excited to try more of their range.  Their fruity fragrances leave me in a happy mood and perfect for summer when you need a bit of freshing up.

 

 

I have quite a hectic lifestyle with working, studying and socialising.  As I am very rarely at home during the day to freshen up these have been a life saver.

 

It has taken me a long time to find a hand gel which doesn't make me smell like i've dipped my hands in alcohol (not great when in work)

 

Will hopefully be reviewing alot more Body Shop products in the future.
